Description
Loveland Lake to Lake Triathlon, in it's 8th year will proudly host the 2008 Best of the US triathletes Colorado State competition. The Olympic Distance race is staged in the middle of Loveland at North Lake Park with plenty of race day parking at Loveland High School.

Lake Loveland is a private lake, water is typically in the low to mid 70's on race day. The bike portion is both challenging for experienced/elite athletes as well as doable for novice competitors. Longer than a typical Olympic distance bike route there are some gradual climbs to Horsetooth reservoir, some steeper climps and some great downhills! The last 5 miles is rolling hills back to transition area.

The run is a flat out and back around the vicinity of Lake Loveland, you can even expect some shade on the route!

This really is a beautiful venue, the volunteers are great, the post race meal is great! No cold bagles or nasty sub sandwiches will be be given to athletes after this competition!! Post race awards while you enjoy your post race meal.
